Frontiers In Neuroscience Seminar Series: guest speaker Michael F. Egan
Welcome on May 20 at 16:00 to a talk by our guest speaker Michael F. Egan, MD, Vice President, Global Clinical Development in Neuroscience at Merck.
He will give a talk on ”Drug development challenges in Alzheimer’s disease"
Dr. Egan received his BA from the University of Virginia and his medical degree from the University of Maryland. Following residency at the University of Colorado, he completed a research fellowship at the NIMH in Neuropsychiatry. In 1996 Dr. Egan joined the Clinical Brain Disorders Branch at NIMH as a principle investigator focused on the genetics of schizophrenia and cognition. Dr. Egan joined Merck in 2005 and led clinical trials for a variety of neuropsychiatric disorders, including the BACE inhibitor, verubecestat. He is currently Vice President, Global Clinical Development in Neuroscience at Merck.
