COMPUTE AI in Medicine and Life Science Journal Club 2022
The COMPUTE research school is launching a journal club on “AI in Medicine and Life Sciences”. In this peer-learning group we will discuss scientific articles related to the use of artificial intelligence in medicine or life sciences (machine learning, computer vision, natural language processing, etc.). The focus will be on the technical AI aspects, so you do not have to be medically trained to participate and it can also be relevant for those who want to apply AI in other fields. The group meets several times per year (currently online) and you can sign up or leave anytime.
Every meeting lasts one hour and focuses on one scientific article, which everyone has read before. The person presenting that week gives some background to the paper and summarizes the most interesting technical aspects, with free discussions by the group in between. There is no mandatory attendance, and no credits will be given for taking part in this peer-learning group. However, every member is expected to present an article at some point.
This weeks paper is titled: Instance-based Vision Transformer for Subtyping of Papillary Renal Cell Carcinoma in Histopathological Image
